The method

The Bilona method, explained simply.

A traditional ghee-making approach presented with modern attention to process, quality checks and transparency.

Cultured

Milk is set and cultured before churning, following the traditional sequence.

Churned

The set curd is churned to separate butter, rather than processing cream directly.

Ghee separation

The butter is simmered until the ghee separates.

Questions, answered.

What is the difference between Buffalo and Cow Ghee?
One is made from buffalo milk and the other from cow milk. Both are prepared using the same Bilona method, and both are sold in the same jar size. Choose whichever milk you prefer.
Are both products made using the Bilona method?
Yes. Both the Buffalo and Cow ghee are prepared using the Bilona approach described above.
How should ghee be stored?
Keep the jar closed, away from direct sunlight, and always use a dry spoon. Refrigeration is not required.
Why can ghee texture change with temperature?
Ghee naturally firms up in cooler conditions and softens in warmer ones. A change between grainy and smooth is normal and is not a fault.
How can I view available laboratory information?
Open the reports page for the ghee you are interested in. It lists the laboratory information currently published for that product.
What happens if the glass jar is damaged during shipping?
Contact us with your order number and a photograph of the damage, and we will sort it out for you.
